Well, Folks!
We are back on track and puttering along with our assignment. I decided to start with the house that looks as if it is from the movie “Up”. The house is made from two different stitches with a basic stitch and a linking stitch to create the picture. The balloons attached to the house are made using the french knot. Although I have previously learned all these stitches I am going to be working hard at my worst stitch so far, the french knot. I will need to practice this stitch at least fifty times to complete the image. Which will probably be pretty frustrating but also fun! I went to Micheals and bought some new thread to make a more vibrant piece of artwork, I have red, pink, blue, yellow, green and a few other colours and shades to throw in there. I began by sketching the image and setting up the embroidery hoop. I did a rough draft of the house and practiced a few of the stitches needed to complete the project. Overall I think it could turn out either really good!! or a bit of a fail. I am going to go in with a positive mindset and try my best! I will check back in next week.
