End of the project… Not the learning

Well, we have come to the end of the semester and Sam and I have both become experts on including technology into the math classroom. Sam and I were not always as math motivated as we are today. We both struggled with both math concepts and engagement throughout our elementary career. When considering applications to talk about we both reflected on the idea will this have helped us? We are both huge advocates on developing lessons and concepts based on what your students need. If you have a reluctant class incorporating technology into math may bring out the love in math students didn’t know they had. The applications we researched helped with a variety of math concepts and worked with a variety of age groups. Students can even download these applications at home to continue the practice. Using technology in the classroom increases student engagement and concept retention. Thank you for following us on this journey of learning and exploration. We hope you have learned as much as we have about incorporating new math with traditional math in your classroom.
